What's his position (off the field)?

COVID-19: Rodgers misled reporters about his vaccination status, calling himself “immunized” despite being unvaccinated. He contracted COVID-19 in 2021, after which he disclosed that his “immunization” was from an alternate treatment he had used due to allergies. When confronted about his refusal to get vaccinated, he stated his beliefs in bodily autonomy and his dislike of “woke culture,” even joking that he is “defying science” in reference to his disapproval of Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Chief Medical Advisor.

ABORTION RIGHTS: When asked his thoughts on abortion rights, Rodgers described his personal beliefs as leaning pro-life, but simultaneously stated his belief that the government should not have control over anyone’s body, saying, “If I’m a woman, don’t f—ing tell me what to do.” Despite his personal thoughts about abortion, this shows a pro-choice stance.

POLITICAL COMPLETIONS: Rodgers showed support for presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. by reposting a promotion for his podcast interview with Aubrey Marcus, captioning it “kennedy2024.” While Kennedy started campaigning under the Democratic Party, by the time Rodgers showed support he had switched to the Independent Party. With this switch, he had also altered his views to be more conservative, including those on gun control, border policy, and providing arms to Israel. He has also consistently promoted what he calls “vaccine skepticism.” Yet he still possesses some liberal views, including those on climate change and abortion. In addition to supporting Kennedy, Rodgers has praised Barack Obama, calling him “the best president in my lifetime.” However, he has expressed his disapproval for Joe Biden, showing mixed support for different candidates.

CONSPIRACY THEORIES: When Rodgers encountered CNN reporter Pamela Brown, he shared his belief that the media was covering up important stories, demonstrating the Republican-leaning view of fake news. He talked about the conspiracy that the Sandy Hook shooting was a government inside job, and how the media was ignoring this. Another anonymous source has also said that Rodgers told them that the shooting was staged. One of his former teammates, DeShone Kizer, has also claimed that Rodgers asked him if he believed in 9/11, telling him he should read up on it.

Rodgers has expressed some liberal views through his stance on abortion and his support of both Obama and Kennedy (due to some of his policies); however, Kennedy’s views currently lean more conservative. This, combined with Rodgers’ disdain for vaccination, distrust of media, and disapproval of Biden, gives him a more conservative leaning.
